Subcontract Management

The EZJOB Subcontract control system gives the contractor complete control over his/her subcontracts. Each contract retains its original contract amount and keeps, in detail, every change order and adjustment. Change orders and adjustments show not only the date, amount and number, but also provide plenty of room for descriptive information.

Data entry is made simple by having subcontract payment applications entered on the same screen as the normal payables invoices. Any over-billing of a contract is identified at the point of invoice entry, thereby eliminating unauthorized overpayments. By tracking retainage on each invoice, EZJOB prevents over-release of retainage to a subcontractor. EZJOB also provides a warning during invoice entry whenever the subcontractor's insurance renewel date has expired as well as information regarding the receipt of the signed contract. Reporting on subcontracts can be either in summary or in detail form. As well, subcontracts can be reported by job or by vendor.

The following are some of the features that allow the contractor control of subcontracts:

  • All invoice and payment detail is retained by contract
  • Over-release of retainage is prevented
  • Warnings are issued when over-billings are detected
  • Contract amount is reflected as 'committed' cost on the job
  • Subcontractor insurance renewel date is monitored
  • Easy-view of all invoices applied to a contract
  • Reporting is either summary or detail and by either job or vendor
  • Original contract amount is retained, with individual change orders/adjustments producing the 'revised contract amount'
