I'm a new user and I was wondering what the unit cost field is for on the inventory items form. It isn't being used when I do job issues.

actually that field is used when you want to issue items to jobs without keep track of your inventory from a quantity/value standpoint. For instance, if you were to code all your inventory to your inventory account when you record invoices, but you don't break it down into the individual inventory items, you would want to make sure all your item records do not have the "Inventory Item" field checked, and then you would give each item a unit cost so EZJOB will know how much to record to the job when you issue the item. Hope that helps!
