Hello...Looking for advice on closing out jobs.

The process is pretty simple. First you must change the *status* of the job to "H". Then, in the Job Cost menu, there is an option "Close Jobs". Choosing that option will make you confirm the accounting period for the closing journal. Then a form will appear where you enter the "Close Date" and all jobs marked with *status* "H" will appear in the form. You simply *Check* the jobs you want to close and press the OK button at the bottom of the form. That is it.

thanks for the reply. does EZJOB then handle the job-closing journal entries or do I need to enter those myself?

Yes, of course, EZJOB handles the job closing journal for you. You simply need to review it and post it. Give us a call if you need a walkthru.
