Currently, I am using Quickbooks and recently I did a progress billing (summarized to the owner with only 5 Line Items budget totaling up to contract amount w/ different % complete on the line items.

Today my controller was asking me (I think) about adjusting my way of billing because of what he has to do to create an in-house billing to match my AIA billing. My jobcost is broken down into 40 individual cost codes and he needs to account to these individually.

Anyway, I noticed this software has AIA billing, but is it built in? Is it painless....cause right now I'm in a lot of pain!

The EZJOB progress billing allows you to set up your schedule of value line items and then enter monthly *percent complete* entries for each line item. This process then produces a billing document that looks much like the old AIA billing form. Once the line items are set up, all you need to do is enter the new percent complete figures for each line item, along with any *stored material* that needs to be billed. Then just print and post that invoice. It is fast and very intuitive. EZJOB AIA billing also allows for an entire billing to be *rolled back*, so that you can redo it based on owner specified changes.
